Linux Connect to an ISA Proxy Server (Internet Security and Acceleration Server):

cntlm Download the package for your distribution http://cntlm.sourceforge.net/

To install it (in Canaima) run console: dpkg-i-stable.deb cntlm_version

Once installed, an editor of your choice open the configuration file in / etc / cntlm.conf

Place, replace and store depending on the your network setup the following parameters (consult your network administrator):

Username nombre_administrador_red
-
Domain domain_name
-
Password contraseƱa_red
-
direccion_ip__isa Proxy: port_number

Listen puerto_donde_escucha_cntlm (3128 in our case).

configured above parameters go to the menu (GNOME) System - Preferences - Network Proxy and select Manual proxy configuration , labeled Use the same proxy for all protocols in HTTP Proxy: put localhost and Port: 8080 is listening ctnlm. In Details not use authentication. Finally Close.

Check if the settings are correct running cntlm cntlm-v console

cntlm [11798]: Cntlm ready, staying in the foreground
cntlm service starts automatically after you start or restart the computer.
Configure Firefox:

menu Edit , Preferences, select the icon Advanced , tab Red , button Settings , select Use system proxy settings , OK.
Configure Synaptic.

Menu Settings , Preferences, tab Red , select Manual proxy configuration in Proxy http: place localhost and Port: 8080, as applied to FTP Proxy: and Port:. OK.
