IDE HARD DRIVE WITH TECHNOLOGY:

Most hard drives in personal computers are tecnoilogia IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics), which comes in the controller cards and all motherboards (motherboard) of equipment new. The latter automatically recognized (autodetect) hard drives to be put to a size of 2.1 gigabytes.
technology IDE hard disks, has been improved and is known as Enhaced IDE (EIDE), allowing higher data transfer in less time. Some manufacturers call it Fast ATA-2. These hard drives are faster and more storage capacity than a gigabyte. A megabyte (MB) is approximately a million characters and a gigabyte (GB) has about a thousand megabytes. Bring new equipment as a standard 1.2-gigabyte hard drives.

If your computer is new, the motherboard allows you to place up to four hard drives. The first hard disk is known as primary master, the second as the primary slave, secondary master as the third and fourth as secondary slave.
The difference between master and slave is done through a small metal bridge (jumper) placed in a connector of two ducklings that each hard drive. In the upper surface of a table with the picture how to bridge master, slave or master with slave present.

SATA HARD DRIVES WITH TECHNOLOGY

updated on 19/12/2007.

Serial ATA is the new standard for connecting hard drives. Until relatively recently, in the consumer market was using the IDE port on the ATA standard (also called Pararell ATA), of which there are varieties to 133MBytes/seg theorists. This type of connection is a flat strip (40 or 80 threads, depending ATA specifications) to which you can connect up to two hard drives (or optical drives).

Serial ATA, the new technology is fully compatible with the previous, so no compatibility issues with operating systems. In fact you can find converters to the old format, since not only is a change in the format of the connectors, but also in the port type (as an IDE port works as a parallel port, SATA is a type Serial port).

ADVANTAGES

* As there are speed advantages, as the new interface starts working 150MBytes/seg (133 maximum on ATA), currently being usual SATA2 type, with a transfer rate 300MBytes/seg.

* Another great improvement over the previous system (in my opinion) is the type of wiring used, much thinner than the previous aerodynamic allowing these cables, being much thinner, facilitating airflow inside the box, reducing the warming of our team.

* Another advantage of this type of port is that it allows up to 1 meter cable length (less than half a meter on the connections ATA).

* Regarding the power cable is also different from the original ATA disks, and strains of work are lower, with less power consumption.

* Also it is not necessary to own Master / Slave traditional, since SATA drives connect a per port, indicating the Setup which is the only SATA which should be directed first to the boot order (Boot SEQUENCE .)

we see in the SATA drives a set of jumpers. These are to set a record as SATA1 SATA2, in the case of the motherboard is not compatible with the standard SATA2.

Although the plates and allow the connection of these devices, when installing the operating system must take into account a small detail, it is possible that full deployment of the type found a message is not no drive installed and therefore can not install the operating system

Rotation Speed (RPM)

is the speed at which the disk spins, more precisely, the speed of the rotating / disk platter, which is where you store magnetic data. The rule is: the higher the rotation speed, the higher the data transfer, but also more noise and the greater the heat generated by the hard disk. Is measured in number revolutions per minute (RPM). You should not buy an IDE hard disk less than 5400rpm (already 7200RPM IDE drives) unless you give it to a very good price, not a SCSI disk under 7200RPM (there's 10.000RPM). A speed of 5400RPM allow a transfer between 10MB and 16MB per second with data that is on the outside of the cylinder or plate, somewhat less in the interior.

Microprocessor "Quad Core"

is called 'quad-core' and has four cores on a single 'chip', which multiplied by billions the capacity of the first to hit the market 35 years ago.

Features:

* While the first transistor sold by Intel in 1971 had 2,300 transistors, the new has 2,000 million.
• In addition, each of the first transistors had a maximum clock speed (which takes to perform basic tasks, such as addition) of 740 kilohertz, while the new is of 2.66 gigahertz, nearly 3,600 times faster .
Intel • According to calculations, if the automobile had advanced as fast as the computer, a car would take far less than ten seconds to cross from coast to coast.
· Marketed under the name Core 2 Extreme quad-core (for the consumer market) and quad-core Xeon processor 530 (for servers) and with prices ranging from 455 to $ 1,172 (355 to 900 euros), this new generation of microprocessors also have the advantage that they consume almost 50% less power than their predecessors.
· "The observations of the great accelerator data give about 40 million times per second, so the 'quad-core' will be essential to manage about 15 billion gigabytes.

My first Impala

Every year in early summer, Motoclub Impala Impala organized an excursion / concentration which together more than 100 bikes, all Montesa Impala. This year, in particular, 126 motorcycles.

Impala had to postpone scheduled for June 14 due to a strike in the Delivery will fuel at gas stations. Thus, the Impala was held on 20 September.

Notice that the second poster in the background colors vary, more autumnal ... ;-)

The Impala is a bike path all more or less together, with a couple of groupings. In total, counting the trip back home, did more than 300km.

Early morning we met at the top of Tibidabo. Will gradually appearing more and more Impalas to register, while the early bird breakfast.

putting the bikes are going well tidy ...

... to make the group photo ...

... and engines are started. A real delight for the senses. Being my first time, I assure you goose bumps.

In this video I go I ... jejejeje

(Incidentally, the videos and photos in this post are taken from the web of the motorcycle club, and here the artist left the camera ...)

We moved to the first grouping, and then you realize that we must go warily. Too many people, and more than a "quemadillo." He soon learns to go behind what has touched you, at your pace and distance leaving (most do not carry ;-)), brake lights ahead and forget, mostly because you can never go at your own pace. And in the same way, let it pass the "Quemao." In a country piss you off and take them out and quiet wheels.

The feeling is indescribable, to exit a corner and see that tape of Impalas, one after another, and all with the same gear engaged, so that the sound of the exhaust is unison. A joy.

Of course, at the beginning and the bikes cold, coughing, swallowing fans you smoke ...

Motoclub have hung in a video that illustrates very well what I explained so bad.

scrotumtightening, right?

In the last reunion we had the assistance of the legendary Josep M ª Busquets, a champion of Montjuich 24H with the 60 Impala.

a gentleman, he brought his own Impala 250 and to the Cromwell town with running, which still bears the scorpion painted.

the end, we group them (almost) everyone to eat (well, well) so that the end everyone will shake to return to its point of origin.

course, have an Impala and not go to the Impala should be punishable by law. Does anyone know any concentration anywhere in the world we can gather more than 100 motorcycles of the same make and model, and which is now more than 20 years that are not produced? I certainly do not.
And the Impala are not well ... what a shame bigger:-D

I for my part, I miss 2009.

Oops, I forgot. A couple of newspaper clippings of the event.

Called RAM that you can access any location it randomly and quickly

What is RAM?

main memory or RAM (Random Access Memory, Random Access Memory) is where the computer stores the data that is used in the present moment. Storage is considered temporary because the data and programs remain there while the computer is turned on or is reset.
Physically, consist of a set of chips or chip modules normally connected to the motherboard. The memory chips are black rectangles soldiers often go in groups some chips with "pins" or contacts:

then submit the types of RAM and have evolved as each of them:

CACHING
is used to facilitate a transfer even faster than the processor instructions and data that is used to improve process flow (how fast a system computer can do the job). Like RAM, the cache is an area of high-speed storage for program instructions and data, but shaved 10 times more than RAM. With only a fraction of the capacity of the RAM, the cache only contains instructions and data processor is likely to soon require
There are two types of cache memory: Memory

Conclusion:
ü As we have seen the emergence of electronic computers is fairly recent, and has had a rapid advance. So much so that today the competition between enterprises producing computers to rise to the emergence of new models with very short periods of time, which are sometimes of months. Causing an increase in processor speeds, storage capacity, speed of transfer of the buses, etc.. Ü
Currently the market is taking place again, because they have appeared very fast processors, which work speed of 1 GHz
